Houston's Patrick Paul Talks Las Vegas Raiders
© Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders may be looking to add more talent this offseason to their offensive line, as the team currently has three offensive linemen who are free agents.

One of the offensive linemen the Silver and Black could add this offseason is University of Houston offensive lineman Patrick Paul in this year's 2024 NFL Draft.

Paul played five college seasons with the Houston Cougars. He was an ESPN Second-Team All-America selection and a First-Team All-Big 12 Conference selection. As an offensive tackle, Paul is six feet seven inches and weighs 315 pounds.

According to Pro Football Focus, Paul finished his junior year with a PFF offensive grade of 81.1, a pass-blocking grade of 91.5, and a run-blocking grade of 69.4. His 81.8 offense grade led all tackles in the Big 12 Conference. He also finished with 98.9% pass block efficiency.

At the 2024 NFL Combine located in Indianapolis, Indiana, Pual ran a 5.13 40-yard dash, a 1.77 10-yard spilt, a 29-inch verticle jump, a 7.65 3-cone drill, and produced 30 reps on the bench press.

Paul had the chance to talk to me at the Combine on Saturday. I asked him his thoughts on the Raiders, whether he planned to meet with them, and his thoughts on Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce.

"That's a great organization, I think the head coach they have, Coach Pierce is a great coach, I haven't met with them yet, but that is a great team."

Paul is projected to be a second-round draft pick in this year's 2024 NFL Draft and the Raiders could look to select him and add more talent to the offenvise line.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
