The Spring Training roster now stands at 68 players.
Pomeranz, 35, last pitched in the majors in 2021 as a member of the San Diego Padres.
The 11-year veteran came up as a starter with the Colorado Rockies, but transitioned to a full-time reliever in 2020 with San Diego.
In 149 career appearances as a reliever, Pomeranz has a 2.42 ERA in 160 innings pitched.
Pomeranz has been battling elbow issues for the last few years as he attempted to make an MLB comeback. He wasn't able to do it with San Diego, but the Angels wanted to give him an opportunity to continue his career in Anaheim.
If successful, Pomeranz could be a solid addition to an already much-improved bullpen.
If not, it will cause no harm to the Angels as he was just a minor-league signing.
