Lecce midfielder Morten Hjulmand leaves Italy to pursue his development in Portugal, as country giants Sporting Lisbon have agreed to terms to sign him, beating the likes of Italian hopefuls Fiorentina, Lazio, Roma, Atalanta, and Juventus. Sporting were in talks to sign Hjulmand for quite a while now and have struck the deal for a permanent transfer.
As per Sky Italia, Sporting will sign Hjulmand on a €21M deal, including bonuses, after their initial €15M offer was turned down. The Italian minnows had long maintained that they would accept nothing less than €20M for their captain.
