Thunder Rosa reveals some of the competitors she’d like to work with in the future.

On the April 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, Willow Nightingale and Adam Copeland teamed up to face The House of Black’s Julia Hart and Brody King in a rare AEW mixed tag team match. With this specific match in mind, former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa is now thinking about which of her male counterparts she’d like to be partnered with for a potential mixed-tag match of her own.

“I would love to work with Rush. He has so much energy,” Rosa recently told Gabby AF. “We both are very similar with that if I was a heel. I don’t even know if [it would work] as a baby face but that would be kind of cool.”

In addition to Rush, Rosa also expressed interest in working with the Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix), as well as former TNT Champion Daniel Garcia.

“This is a Lucha Underground thing with the Lucha Brothers, [I’d like] do like a Lucha thing a three-on three. That would be really cool,” Rosa said. “I love Daniel Garcia. He is brutal. I love him, I just want him to dance for me, that’s all. I don’t even have to wrestle, like just dance, just grind on somebody’s face [laughs].”

Dream Opponent

Looking ahead, Thunder Rosa was also asked to identify her ultimate dream opponent. In response, Rosa pointed toward one of AEW’s current backstage coaches, Sarah Stock (formerly Sarita in TNA Wrestling).

“I want her out of retirement. I want to have a match with her because she’s the person that influenced me to become a professional wrestler when I first made the decision,” Rosa said. “She has a lot of similarities with me. She’s uber talented. When she used to wrestle, some of the stuff that she was able to do was incredible. She’s an incredible talent. She was very underrated. I would like just [to] get in the ring one time with her and have a match.”
